10 Tips For Being A Better Patrol Leader

10 Tips For Being A Better Patrol Leader

 

  • plans and leads patrol meetings and activities at every troop meeting
  • keeps patrol members informed through constant communication
  • assigns each patrol member a specific duty - learn patrol members strengths, weaknesses, and abilities of each patrol member
  • Attend all Patrol Leader Council Meetings.  The Patrol Leader or the Assistant Patrol Leader in his place are required to attend the PLC meetings
  • prepares the patrol to participate in all troop activities
  • works with other troop leaders to make the troop run well
  • communicate frequently with the SPL when completing patrol leaders
  • ASK FOR HELP when feeling lost!
  • sets a good example - Lead By Example!
  • wears the Scout uniform correctly
  • lives by the Scout Oath and Law
  • shows and develops patrol spirit
  • treat all troop members with respect
